Archive Alive Mobile Cinema Tour
In June 2013, HEART's Digital Heritage Project took archive film on the road courtesy of a 1960s vintage mobile cinema and brought the archive alive to people throughout Essex, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk.
This exciting and unique tour incorporated the mobile cinema stopping at 17 locations across East Anglia to offer free screenings of local archive films from the last century aboard the 22 seater digital cinema.
The Archive Alive tour kicked off on Sunday 2 June in Clacton-on-sea, Essex and completed its journey in Hunstanton, Norfolk on Monday 10 June. The complete itinerary was as follows:
Sunday 2 June – CLACTON & COLCHESTER
Monday 3 – HARLOW & HAVERHILL
Tuesday 4 – ELY & CAMBRIDGE
Wednesday 5 – RAF LAKENHEATH (for airbase personnel only)
Thursday 6 – DISS & BURY ST EDMUNDS
Friday 7 – IPSWICH & ALDEBURGH
Saturday 8 – LOWESTOFT & NORWICH
Sunday 9 – GRESSENHALL & CROMER
Monday 10 – KING'S LYNN & HUNSTANTON
