Colman’s Mustard Shop and Museum celebrates Christmas
Tuesday, 15th December 2009
Colman's Mustard Shop and Museum is celebrating its past on Thursday, 17th December, with a festive day taking inspiration from times gone by. Staff will be dressing up in Victorian clothes, in-keeping with the replica Victorian trade premises the Shop is based in, and handing out free warm spiced apple juice and mince pies for customers.
It is the first Christmas since the transfer of the shop from previous owners Unilever UK & Ireland to Norwich Heritage Economic and Regeneration Trust (HEART) earlier this year.
Christina Lister, Communications Manager at Norwich HEART, said: "The shop has been really busy in the run-up to Christmas - people are placing a lot of value on buying gifts with a strong local connection, and our exclusive and nostalgic products are proving to be really popular."
The shop stocks an extensive range of powder and prepared mustards, including a number of specialities made exclusively for the shop. There is also a wide selection of mustard pots, spoons, tea towels and Colman's memorabilia. It also contains many items on loan from the archives, covering all aspects of the history and production of Colman's mustard.

The Shop is based in the Royal Arcade, by Norwich Market. There will be free warm spiced apple juice and mince pies for customers from 9.30am to 8pm on Thursday, 17th December, while supplies last.
