The first ever Norwich Dragon Festival - a unique celebration of dragons in the history and culture of our city - ran from 31 January to 22 February 2009 with around 40 events in over 15 venues across the city.

There was a packed programme of story-telling, puppet shows, film, art and craft activities, exhibitions, talks, sculpture and much more, with most of the activities being free and many located in Norwich‘s most beautiful and historic buildings. The Festival attracted around 22,000 people. Click here to view a selection of images from the events.

HEART coordinated the Festival which was primarily funded by Norwich 12 from the Treasury‘s Invest to Save Budget, with the support of over 30 partner organisations and many volunteers.
