Norwich Trails, RRP £2.95 each

Norwich Trails

We have created Norwich Trails - a series of historic walking trail booklets covering various geographic areas and themes relating to the city's past, to help you explore Norwich's outstanding heritage by foot. The pocketable booklets are beautifully illustrated guides which cover the historic highlights of these areas and some of their hidden gems, including historic images and a map of the trail.

There are currently five booklets available:

  • The City's Cinemas - launched July 2015
  • Cathedral Quarter and Elm Hill
  • Norwich Lanes
  • Timberhill
  • Wensum River Parkway

Each A6 booklet is priced at £2.95. The entire sets are available from Colman's Mustard Shop & Museum and all good local bookshops.

The booklets have been written by HEART's volunteer coordinator Nick Williams and designed by Anne Reekie. They are part of HEART's local distinctiveness work in the areas.

The City's Cinemas booklet uncovers Norwich's forgotten cinema history and takes you on a guided walk around 12 of the city's iconic cinema buildings. The trail booklet has been developed by Cinema Plus and produced by Norwich HEART through funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund as part of the Norfolk at the Pictures project, with support from students at the Open Academy.
